I had a dream last night

In the dream I was getting ready for a long ride on my mountain bike. It was my old mountain bike, too. Which is odd. What i remember most about the dream is how excited i was to ride.

So im choosing to believe that that dream was a positive omen for 2013. A glimpse into the future.

I'm starting to see the light at the end of the "recently married followed almost immediately by spending the holidays with two families" tunnel. It was a long strange tunnel. Much longer than i thought it would be. I'm the happiest man in the world but i'm also a man whose ready for his world to get back to normal.

So for 2013 i'm dreaming of long mountain bike rides. Starting at my house, grabbing a quick espresso on the way, then swope, then blue river, then back to swope, then maybe on to Roanoke for good measure. Followed by food.

2013!

Old Photo I Like

This is from Summer 2009. Before i started this blog. We're on the way to critical mass. This is when i still used power grips (still like them) and those shorts didn't have a huge hole in the a** (still like them).

I need your help! Where is the good singletrack in Colorado?

X and i are planning a mountain bike trip to Colorado this summer and i'm wondering if anyone out there has recommendations on where we should go and were we should ride.

Fruita?
Durango?
Cortez?
Breckenridge?
Colorado Springs?
Crested Butte?
Telluride?

I used to make it out to Colorado all the time but it's been close to 10 years now plus i've never ridden my Mountain Bike out there. Same thing goes for X. After some quick googling i'm a little overwhelmed by the options.  Ideally we're looking for trails that are fun, long, not too technical and have good views.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Photo dump

I was flipping channells just now and i caught the bery beginning of "Coming to America"... and it inspired me to blog. not sure why. But the opening is so great, mainly because of that song.

Makes me feel like a kid again.

None of this has anything to do with anything else, although i could easily spend the next several paragraphs discussing the awesomeness that is "Coming to America"; Sexual Chocloate, Cassius Clay, Louie Anderson washing lettuce. But thats for another time.

Moving on...

I've been doing a bit more riding and a bit more picture taking lately...

Sprint Finish

I should change the name of this blog to "Better Late than Never" since thats how i would categorize most of my recent posts.

This is a good pic from Epic cross, a few weeks ago.

I think the 29r won.

(Neither of those people are me, btw.)
