It was pretty great.
I ended up getting sick after Gravel Worlds so that was a bummer. Something also stung me in the leg a week ago last Sunday which led to a lot of swelling... so there was no exercising Monday thru Friday. But by Saturday afternoon i was feeling pretty good so i did a ride and felt better and better as the ride went on.
The plan for the year was to race Gravel Worlds (last weekend, check) so that i would be in better shape for the Little Sugar Mountain Bike race in mid October. Gravel Worlds is now done and i do feel faster and still fresh.
Plus summer is coming to an end which means that cool crisp bike rides are right around the corner. That's an energizing thought. Plus i'm trying to follow through on my desire to keep my bicycles clean so i gave the CX bike and the Mountain bike pretty deep clean and the results were kind of amazing.
Motivation is high for the next few months of bike riding!
I almost forgot that i'm signed up for the Pony Express 65 mile Gravel race this Saturday. I should be able to attend.
